養(yǎng)兔子要給它們搭窩，可以用木籠子、竹籠子或在院子里的地上挖兔子窩，給它們營造溫馨的生長環(huán)境。木籠子或竹籠子四四方方，里面能讓大兔子活動開，面朝外的一邊留著抽拉式的小門，用于給兔子添食喂水。地上的兔子窩口小下面大，上口周圍用磚砌成圓形，圍上砂土，高出地面，預防下雨進水。將兔子放進去后用圓形的柳筐子或竹筐子蓋上，即通風透氣又方便喂食。為防止兔子們跳出來逃跑，還要選一塊足夠重的石頭，壓在柳筐或竹筐上。

安哥拉兔的繁殖力很強，在保證公、母兔生活健康的前提下，安哥拉兔一窩能產2～3只，甚更多，每年一般生2~3窩，所以一年能生出許多小兔子。剛生出來的幼崽紅嘟嘟、肉呼呼、毛茸茸的閉著眼睛，擠著到兔媽媽的肚子上找奶吃，非常可愛。安哥拉兔的養(yǎng)護也比較簡單，它們的食物主要是草料，比如鮮嫩的青草、蘿卜葉，萵苣葉、胡蘿卜等，還可以添加一些其他蔬菜和水果，它們也喜歡啃咬木頭，可以給它們一些小枝子或干草，讓它們磨牙咀嚼。
